In 2009, I completed the National Novel Writing Month, also known as NaNoWriMo. Although I found it deeply rewarding to write fifty thousand words in one month, I struggled with how much detail to put into my scenes. During the process I learnt to close my eyes and see the scenes play out in my head like a movie. This helped me with character positioning, attitude, and dialogue, but I found it a hard slog to go on and describe the interiors in any detail.
Today, I’ve signed up for Script Frenzy; a challenge to write 100 pages of scripted material in 30 days. My working title is Husk. I have a lot to learn about script formatting and have started reading Aliens to get a feel for the action scenes.
I think it’s going to be another exciting adventure in writing!
